Duck & Buck Guided Hunts

Over the years, we have received countless inquiries requesting a combination hunt for deer and waterfowl. As a result, Swan Mountain Outfitters is pleased to announce a new combination deer hunt we like to call Duck N Buck. This offering combines the best of Montana deer and waterfowl hunts.

Guests will stay at our base camp, which is a traditional outfitters camp with wall tents and wood stoves so you can truly enjoy an authentic western hunting experience!  The Duck N Buck package includes 6 days of hunting, all of your meals, your waterfowl and deer hunting guide as well as transportation to and from the airport.Throughout the week, hunters will alternate between whitetail deer hunting and duck hunting or general waterfowl hunting, essentially combining two distinct types of hunts into a single six day Montana adventure.

Whitetail deer in our part of Montana are typically found in lower elevation foothills and clear cuts. Montana whitetail deer hunting is very different from other areas of the country. Given the abundance food and water in their natural habitat, you don’t need to pattern whitetail deer here in the same manner you would other areas. Also, since our whitetails are not over hunted, they tend to live longer and get bigger.

The pace of this hunt is much more relaxed than many of our other Montana guided hunts. It is really designed for someone who is here to kick back and have some fun just as much as he or she is here to hunt.  Spouses are also welcome to come as there are a number of things a non-hunter can do including daily llama treks, guided fishing trips, Montana mountain trail rides and much more.

Please note that we only offer these hunts during the last week in October and the first week in November and space is limited to four hunters per session.

Most folks grew up hunting ducks or geese, but haven’t done it in awhile. So, why not combine old traditions and new adventures in a unique Montana hunt. Book your Duck N Buck hunt with Swan Mountain Outfitters today!
