Cowboy Cookout Horseback Trail Ride
The Cowboy Cookout combines the favorite Montana pastimes of horseback riding and campfire cooking. Begins with a two hour horseback ride just a mile outside of Glacier National Park at Swan Mountain Outfitters' corral in West Glacier, Montana. When you dismount your horse and join the campfire ring, wranglers will offer you a light appetizer as the steaks sizzle. Your steak will pair well with sides like corn on the cob, baked beans, bread rolls, and a light salad. Save room to roast your S'mores for dessert!
Glacier National Park Horseback Trail Rides
Glacier National Park is a land of shining mountains, sweeping alpine views, and aquamarine glacial waters, awaiting you to experience. And, what better way to do that than on horseback? Get off the beaten track and hit the trail at our corrals inside the park at Apgar, Lak McDonald, and Many Glacier. We also have a corral in West Glacier just a mile outside the Park entrance. Winter in Northwest Montana is a wonderland best experienced by snowmobile! Many of our winter guests take time from their ski vacations to see Montana from a unique perspective. Montana's hundreds of miles of groomed public trails provide riders of all levels the perfect adventure for families and groups. Chinese Wall Summer Pack Trips
This trip is for those that want to ride mules deeper into the backcountry for a true wilderness experience. Our location at Salmon Forks Outfitters provides those bucket list Montana adventures, such as roving pack trips to the famous Chinese Wall. Stand on top of the continental divide of the Rocky Mountains, a spectacular upheaval that happened thousands of years ago that runs for 22 miles and get a bird's eye view of the Rocky Mountains.

Rent mopeds from our location just one mile from the West entrance of Glacier National Park, at the Crown of the Continent Discovery Center. This one-stop-shop is located just one mile from the West entrance of Glacier National Park. The Crown of the Continent Discovery Center offers a variety of products and activities: Enjoy the finest latte or a locally made ice cream treat from our coffee shop and old fashioned ice cream parlor, drink locally brewed beers and cocktails in our western style bar, shop the largest selection of Made in Montana gifts and souvenirs in the state, take a horseback trail ride from our West Glacier corral. Swan Mountain Wilderness Guide School hosts courses in big game and waterfowl guiding, wrangling, packing, river rafting, and backcountry cooking. Courses are taught by recognized experts and professionals and utilize the latest methods in outdoor guide school instruction, hunting techniques, and hunting outfitter and adventurer training.
